Cara × Lucjan — A Breeding I Waited Two Years For Some breeding combinations begin with careful planning. Others begin with a dog you see once — and simply cannot forget. I had been thinking about breeding Cara to Ch.PL., JCh.PL. LIBERTANGO Ingver “Lucjan” for more than two years. I discovered Lucjan completely by chance while scrolling through Facebook. Something about him immediately caught my attention, and of course, the first thing I did was look up his pedigree. And that pedigree simply could not leave me indifferent. I genuinely admire every dog standing behind Lucjan. Generation after generation, I found dogs and bloodlines that I know, appreciate and have admired for years. The more I studied his pedigree, the stronger my conviction became: one day, I wanted to combine Lucjan with Cara. And I waited for that day for more than two years. When the moment finally came, there was just one small detail between my dream and reality — 1,700 kilometres. So, naturally, I drove them in one day. 😄 I left Italy early in the morning with Cara and, after crossing Europe, arrived at the welcoming home of Paulina Korpal at 2 a.m.! I will never forget Paulina's kindness and hospitality. She stayed awake and waited for us until the middle of the night, when Cara and I finally arrived after our very long journey. Fortunately, our crazy 2 a.m. date was a success. 🤎 And several weeks later, the breeding I had imagined for more than two years gave us the most wonderful result — five beautiful chocolate boys. Suddenly, those 1,700 kilometres, the sleepless night and two years of waiting felt completely worth it. I am incredibly grateful to Paulina Korpal for Lucjan, for her kindness, professionalism and hospitality, and for making this breeding possible. For me, breeding has never been simply about producing puppies. It is about studying pedigrees, dreaming about combinations years in advance, waiting for the right moment and sometimes driving across Europe in a single day because you truly believe in a particular combination. One more dream of a slightly crazy and endlessly passionate breeder has come true. And this time, that dream came in the form of five gorgeous chocolate boys. 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎

Cara – Our Gift of Destiny Cara is truly a gift of destiny for us. She was born at the friendly In Heart Kennel in Dnipro, out of the stunning beauty Rubina — herself born in our family — and the legendary chocolate male Holstep’s Go-To-Meeting (Jody). What makes her story even more special is that Jody is also the father of our very first Labrador, Backardy. By welcoming Cara, we felt we were not only preserving the bloodlines of an extraordinary chocolate Labrador, but also bringing back a living connection to the very roots of our kennel’s history. Cara came to Italy just before New Year’s Eve and immediately became part of our family. From a very young age, she has been an active participant in dog shows across Europe — in Italy, Monaco, Hungary, and beyond — charming judges and audiences with her presence and pedigree. For us, Cara is more than just a show dog. She is a bridge between past and future, carrying both the elegance of her lineage and the promise of new generations to come.
