A Weekend on the Bodensee: 2. DRC Doppel SRA Schwarzwald-Bodensee 2026 30–31 May 2026 · Deutscher Retriever Club · Germany
15.06.2026
Some weekends stay with you long after the ribbons are packed away. The 2. DRC Doppel SRA Schwarzwald-Bodensee was one of them — a beautiful location, a wonderful atmosphere, and results that brought us enormous joy. The show was organized by the Deutscher Retriever Club, and from the very first morning it was clear this would be a special event. The setting, the level of organization, and above all the people made these two days something we will remember for a long time. Day One — 30 May 2026 Judge: Jan Roger Sauge Chocolatin Labs Dandy (Darker Power Bella Mare × Berti Fox For Chocolatin Labs Black&Chocolate) Intermediate Class · Anw.Dt.Ch.VDH · CAC Club Chocolatin Labs Batia (Chablais Eugene × Chocolatin Labs Gleam Emerald) Excellent 3/6 Day Two — 31 May 2026 Judge: Philippe Lammens Chocolatin Labs Dandy Anw.Dt.Ch.VDH · CAC Club · Sieger Bodensee · BOB Chocolatin Labs Batia Excellent The Moment That Meant the Most Results in the ring matter — but watching our young handlers was something else entirely. 🥇 Ben — handling Batia, a dog with whom he shares a truly special bond, first won his group and then became Overall Best Junior Handler of the Day. A well-deserved result for a young handler who puts his whole heart into every step in the ring. 🥉 Lukas — handling Dandy for the very first time, placed 3rd in Group 1 Junior Handling among four competitors, with a composure and confidence that made us genuinely proud. To see the children and their dogs supporting each other, enjoying the ring, and growing together — that is what dog shows are truly about. We would like to sincerely thank the Deutscher Retriever Club for the excellent organization of the 2. DRC Doppel SRA Schwarzwald-Bodensee, the generous gifts, and the opportunity to present our dogs before judges whose opinions are held in the highest regard within the Retriever community. A special thank you to Nicole Weber, Batia's owner, and her wonderful family for the warm and memorable days spent in such great company. Moments like these remind us that dog shows are not only about dogs and results — they are about people, friendship, and memories that stay with us for a lifetime.
